GPU upgrade Acer 6935g

Hello to all,

 

Its the second time I needed to replace the graphic card's C74 ceramic capacitor due to design flaw which short circuits the board. Therefore, I have decided  to upgrade my graphic card instead and this is where I need help in choosing a suitable card for my laptop;

 

My laptop model is Acer Aspire 6935g

My graphic card is Nvidia 9600m GT mxm II 512mb DDR2

 

I was thinking to upgrade the card from 512mb to 1gb and DDR3. After some research I found this card "GT 240M DDR3 1GB MXM II". Has anybody upgraded to this card, also is this card compatible with the Acer 6935g (E.g. do I need to upgrade the bios, etc...).
