I get a black screen with a cursor when I attempt to boot up my acer aspire 5000. How do I correct

    Good day

     

    1. Make sure you disconnect all other storage devices. Make sure there is no disc in your optical drive as well.

    2. Try to run a HDD test using seatools: http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/seatools/

    3. If your HDD test pass, try to reload the machine.
