Hi all. Had my laptop all of 5 hours and I have an error.
E157-73636G50Mnks. i7. Windows 8 64bit.
NX.MO9EK.037
The error reads, driver_irql_not_or_equal (tcpip.sys) it then restarts windows. It asks me to log in, it then asks if i want to send a report. Then opens up to home screen (windows 8) I then click on the screen, an app or program, it tries to load and then boom, blue screen is back with the 'Smiley Sad' face saying they are fixing the problem. This has repeated 5 times. Seems to be on a loop.
I did not back up the computer. So unable to run recovery. it was my next step as soon as i had a usb to hand. I've literally just opened the box!!!

i did recently download a free anti virus program called asvast or advast? It looks pretty safe. I was also running Spotify during the initial crash.

Can anyone help? P.s I am quite the novice. Please bare with me. Thanks in advance.

As you have only had your laptop for a few hours, I would be inclined to restore factory settings.

    1. Power on the computer.
    2. Hold the 'Alt' key and press the 'F10' key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery.
    3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click Restore to Factory Default Settings.

Create your recovery media as soon as you can.

    Be careful what you install!!

    Many thanks for your time.
I have followed the steps stated and all seems well.
I only hope that this isn't a sign of things to come.

    All the best.
