If you look at the included picture there is a 2.5 inch laptop sata HDD used as the OS drive.

Connecting the data portion of Sata is straightforward as there is a port right there.

But it would seem the power portion is absent. but there is a connector right next to is as you can see that is like a 2x2 PATA (like a ribbon connector) that i believe provides power.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to provide it with power or the Part number in which i can order the correct part. Or even a website that sells said part.

Thanks in advance.

The cable for the internal drive is a combo power/data SATA cable which connects with a combo board to the drive.

The power is connected just to the left of the foremost SATA data cable in your picture.

What problem are you having with the system?

Can you elaborate on how to power this drive internal? There is no obvious connection to use other than a 2x2 connector from the PCU. Any suggestions would be great. Brad

I know this is an old thread and hope someone from Acer still monitoring it. Could you please advise the parts number for the combo power/data SATA cable you mentioned? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks!
