Hello and asking about a typing problem

Hi, I am an Acer Aspire 5532 Laptop user. My daughter passed this computer on to me when she went away to college wnen the fall, so I will be checking in from time to time so I can learn to better use it. My problem right now is that whenever the couputer backs up what I'm typing, it moves the curser back to a previous line, inside a word that was already typed just fine. It does this often and I end up with a lot of misspelled words. What setting should I change to stop this? Thanks.

I have this same problem and I hope someone can help!  I've had this netbook (Aspire) for over a year and suddenly it just types words where it wants to. For example you spell HORSE and the computer will spell SEHOR.  I am not hovering over the keyboard, as some have suggested, and it does this with or without a mouse attached.
