I cannot find a wireless adapter under my system setting even after reverting to factory settings on this model. Is it possible that I turned wifi off using some obscure button somewhere (I cannot find the usual Function-key equivalent on the keyboard.) or am I just out of luck and this model is too old to support wifi?!

It has been a while since we've had a 3630 in the office, so please forgive my ignornace. I'm certain that the unit has wifi, and generally there were shortcut keys that would turn wifi on and off. I believe it was FN+F3. If that's not it, look for a wifi symbol in clue on one of the F-keys on the top row.

    Hope this helps,

There is no symbol for wifi anywhere on the machine. FN-F3 open op controls for battery control. I've tried installing

    Wireless_Athroas_4.0.0.14001_XPx86

    Wireless_Broadcom_3.100.46_XPx86

    Still no luck.

Under network in System I can see only one adapter:

SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter

Reading the specs I can't even find any mention of any WLAN adapter. Is it possible that this machine is born without wireless or that the adapter simply died on me?
