    Good day

You can create further partitions. I do highly recommend that you do not delete paritions set from factory.

Thanks, Freeza.  Do you know what is in some of these partitions?  I am used to factory-set partitions for recovery, and I see two of those here, but there are also two other partitions, taking up a fair amount of space, that are not labeled at all.   In Windows Diskmanagement I see:
Disk 0, which consists (in order) of a 400MB Recovery Partition, a 300MB EFI System Partition, a 448.45GB NTFS Boot,Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partion (labeled CSmiley Happy, and another 16.50GB Recovery Partition
    and
Disk 1, which consists of a 3.74GB Primary Partition and a 14.90GB Primary Partition
Only the 448.45GB partition that is labeled C: appears in Window Explorer.

It is really the two partitions on Disk1 that I am curious about.  Are they there to be used for data?  Can I expand them to create a separate data partitions?  What is the significance of their being on Disk1 instead of Disk0, since there is only one physical hard drive (i.e., why aren't all six partitions on Disk0, rather than four there and two on Disk1, if it is all the same physical drive?).

I know some of this is probably basic computer or Windows knowledge, which as a non-techie I lack, but I am just trying to understand enough to set up my computer in a sensible, efficient way before beginning to load the various programs onto it (at the moment, it is still in exactly the state in which I got it).  Thanks for any help and advice.
