Aspire 4730z can't change file/folder attributes

I am trying to delete a file called wmiprvse.exe, located in the folder windows\system32\wbem, the file is using as much as 40% of resources, as shown in task manager

 

I have tried using different ways of changing the attributes so I can delete this file, but always end up with an "access denied" message, I don't have the rights to do anything with this file, even though I am using an administrator account

 

any ideas

wmiprvse.exe is otherwise known as Windows Management Instrumentation.

 

Please do not attempt to delete this file.  It is part of the Windows operating system.

It is possible that other applications are using WMI and that may be causing what you are seeing.
