My Acer 4738G has been working fine for over a year but recently , it would shut off as if someone had plugged out the charger . This happens a few seconds after hitting the power button , it seems to try to boot as normal , with the acer screen coming up after powering on and then the starting windows screen , this is when the laptop completely shuts off.

I am able to enter the bios and stay in it for as long as i want to but whenever i try to let it boot it would just shut down after a few seconds , someone please help me! :C

    hi..

Is the AC adapter working fine?

If you computer is shipped with windows 7, restart the computer and then keep tapping the F8 key to enter Safe mode.

You may try by plugging the AC adapter intoe another wall outlet?

You may also perform a power reset.

    To perform a power reset:

    1. Unplug the AC adapter from your notebook.
    2. Turn the notebook over to remove the battery.
    3. Turn the notebook back over and open it.
    4. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds, then release the power button.
    5. Turn the notebook back over and slide the battery back into place.
    6. Slide the lock tab back into the lock position.
    7. Turn over the notebook one last time and plug in your AC adapter.
    8. Turn on your notebook.

Yes the AC adapter is working fine and i have tried plugging it into a different outlet and yet it does not work. I also tried a power reset and the laptop still does not want to boot into windows , i can try to enter safe mode but the laptop would shut off while loading the files for safe mode.
