    Hi levertgardner

It may be because Windows needs cleaning. Try installing & running Ccleaner. This program is great for removing "junk" from a computer that gathers overtime. Click on the "Run Cleaner" button in the bottom left. It may take a while.

When done, Click "Tools" and "Startup". This shows what programs are running when the computer starts. Disable anything that you don't need to start with Windows (except your AV software). If you find you've disabled something you need, just enable it again.

The next thing to do is to update and perform a full scan of your Anti virus software to see if you have picked up a virus. It will be worth downloading & installing Malwarebytes (when installing, uncheck the free trial for the full version option). This program will find nasties that your AV may miss.

Finally, if all comes back clear, and you're still having problems, a re-installation of Windows may be necessary - just make sure you've backed up your documents etc as this will erase them!
