Accessories and Toyz

In the year since I bought my first Windows tablet (and for the Netbooks before that) I have accumulated quite a number of accessories that actually work (and a pile of ones that didn't).

So I put together a page of devices that worked for me on my W3 and W510 aand if looking for something, these are what I use.

Note: Other devices may work just as well. These are just what I have acquired. Comments and opinions are mine and subject to change.

That said it is at my web page  (home is 6007.us) - consider it a "Work in Progress" since already have more additions.

(waning rant follows)

Have just read the Acer press release for the w4 and sounds like something written inside the beltway: many words that really amount for very little. I have to wonder if someone is scared of just what one of these devices can do. Other than for the super gamers who need more power in the graphics board than the rest of the computer, I have been able to tweak my W3 and W510 to be anything a normal person needs whether as a Tablet, as an in-car nsat-nav, diagnostics, and entertainment device, or as a dual monitor workstation with real keyboard, mouse, terabyte drive, and wired Gigabit ethernet.

I can see a future when instead of desktops, netbooks, notebooks, and tabs I just have two tabs (for redundancy - why I have two phone lines and both cable and MiFi connections) and a plethora of docking stations.

What I do not understand is why they still do not admit that a microSD XC (at least a 64GB) works just fine.

(end rant)
