I am trying to optimize this laptop so that I can get a better FPS. My friend uses an older laptop with integrated graphics processing, with 2 more GB of RAM.

They get almost double my FPS in every game from DOTA2 to CS:GO.

I have tried running every different collection of settings I can think of but I cant get near their FPS. I have literally matched their in game settings to no benefit so I think I've ruled that out.

We're both on laptops and their laptop does not have any dedicated graphics card. The only major difference is their 2 more GB of RAM but I would think the difference wouldnt be huge since I have the 2GB graphics card but I cant even reach the predicted FPS according to benchmark sites testing the 630M. I just cant figure it out!

Under their device manager it lists Intel HD graphics family. Mine lists Intel HD Graphics 3000 and of course NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M.

Their processor is also slightly older - http://ark.intel.com/products/53450

My processor is the Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2450M CPU @2.50GHz. I couldnt get CPUID to run properly or I would have included it, sorry.

Below are the GPU specs for integrated and NVIDIA on my laptop.

I have already set the NVIDIA Control Panel to Performance and I've set my Power Options to High Performance as well. We are both on Windows 7 Home Premium.

I've reformatted several times and I've tried removing all the add on / bloatware that came with the laptop. I've included an image of my typical processes. This is after launching steam and while having my browser launched with a few tabs open.

If you need any other information please ask me I am really VERY frustrated by this as I'm sure anyone who has dealt with PC issues they cant solve is familiar with.

For reference my average FPS in CS:GO is somewhere between 25 and 50. The average FPS for my friends laptop, same settings, is about double on all the maps I've played. Similar issue in DOTA2, Fallout: New Vegas, etc.

Thanks in advance for all help, I really appreciate it!
