Greetings. I have owned my Aspire One for almost almost a year now. Even as i write this, my palm bumps the touch pad and clicks in the middle of the text in each sentence. I have put up with missclicks, closing works I havent finished yet, which has lead to untold hours of frustration. Finally, I have had enough and try to change the settings(have tried before, but could not find settings). When I search my control panel for Synaptics, there are no search results for it. I have re-downloaded the driver software, however it still does not show up. When searching mouse settings, as I had read that the touchpad settings can be changed from here, there is no way to modify the touchpad settings. Just another reason why Windows gets worse with every version since XP. I am completely out of ideas, and have found no threads anywhere about this problem. I am begining to think that there may be no way to change it on this computer, just as I cant disable DEP, because of the secure boot policy which can be changed in the BIOS, however the friendly people at microsoft had no answer as to why i cant access it. Cant change settings, because there are no settings in the first place...If anyone has any ideas regarding the touch pad, it would be much appreciated, as I am dangerously close to putting this notebook through my upstairs window. Thanks.
