Acer Aspire M

My acer aspire m has been having some issues lately and I was wondering if there was anything I can do. I think last week or 2 weeks ago I tried saving an important document for school, but it said that the file library.ms was no longer available. My dad figured that out and fixed it for me. But since a little bit before that, it randomly shuts off. There is no warning, I will just be in the middle of typing and poof it's off. All it does is beep and turn off. Only when beep which is immediately followed by a shut down. As a matter of fact, before this sentence, it just shut down again. Thank God for autosave. Anyways, today during my last class, it made a popping noise and shut down. It proceeded to not let me turn it on for about 5 minutes. Altogether it has turned off probably 20 times today. The battery is fine, right now at 38%, it has 2 hours and 15 minutes. It doesn't overheat unless it is on for a while and on my bed or a blanket. 

 

If anyone could give me any help or advice that would be greatly appreciated.
