M3970-EB30P can't boot

Please help, my M3970-EB30P won't boot.
It started off with a Chkdsk running. After chkdsk fixed some files, my computer won't boot and I have many things I need to keep on it, so I cannot reset it.

    Hi BCPTF

What happens when you switch it on? Do you get any error messages? Is it stuck on the Acer screen or the Windows boot screen?

    Let me know...

First time I switch it on, it goes like normal. No freezing, and after the Starting Windows screen it goes to Chkdsk. After I let that run, it reboots. After the loading screen, my screen is all black and a warning box says, pen_touch.exe No such interface supported. After another reboot, it loads then goes into a BSoD and reboots into Startup Repair. It did not freeze on anything during the bootup. I suspect Chkdsk messed up the system files. It is my only computer FYI.

Could well be a driver problem. Can you access Safe Mode? If so, once there, hold Windows key & press R. Next type MSCONFIG & press enter. Select startup tab.

Listed there are all the programs that start with Windows. Click the Disable All button, Apply, then OK. Restart the computer as normal.

If it starts OK, then it is a start-up entry that is causing the problem. You will have to go back to MSCONFIG, and re-check one by one the entries, until you can identify the problem.

If (after all that) the problem still persists, post back....

I couldn't boot into Safe Mode. It hung at an AVG .sys file. I eventually had to use erecovery and it restored the system.
