Extensa 4630Z Intel VGA Driver for Vista

I recently re-installed Vista Home Premium 32 bit on my Acer Extensa 4630Z labtop.

However, after the re-install, Device Manager lists a yellow exclamation mark next to the Standard VGA Adapter.

I went to the Acer Download Driver page for my model and they said that I needed version 7.15.10.1527 of the Intel VGA Driver. I downloaded and installed it on my labtop. At the end of the install, it said that I needed to restart. When I restarted, the Windows startup screen never loaded and I got a black screen. I started up to Safe Mode and tried to use System Restore. It failed saying that it couldn't undo the Intel VGA Driver's changes. I then uninstalled the VGA driver from Device Manager and I can now boot up again normally.

Is there any trick to getting the Intel VGA driver to work correctly with my Extensa labtop? Is there a better version that I should use? Or a setting to change?

Thanks!
