Aspire V5-571P - Cannot install graphics drivers from Intel

I just picked up this ultrathin laptop yesterday and I am someone who likes to have the most up to date software on my computers.

I downloaded the newest 64 bit Windows 8 graphics drivers for 3rd generation Corei3 /Intel 4000 and attempted to install them. I received the "Does not meet minumum system requirements" error message.

I then tried to run the installation for the 573P laptop for the Intel graphics drivers, basically the same error.

Then I'm not sure exactly what I did here, it might have been installing the intel graphics drivers for the 572P which were newer than the 571P which did actually install, or I might have installed a new Intel Chipset INF file, but now I tried installing the new Intel generic drivers and they installed without issue.

Does anyone know what happened there? Was it maybe that the shipping drivers for the 571P were broken and not allowing an installation? Or should I have uninstalled them before attempting to get newer? Or was it the INF file update?

I know all about "You should only install drivers for your model" but Acer like many companies don't usually update a models driver page after the laptop is launched.

    An update to this.

I installed the INF file, nothing changed there.

I installed the 2884 drivers and was then able to install the generic Intel drivers.

    hi...

    http://global-download.acer.com/FilesDownload/HWID/HWVendorDetection.exe

You may run the above hardware vendor utility to find the display adapter manufacturer.

Then download the drivers from Acer website : http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

    Select Group>Untrathin, series>Aspire , then selct model V5-571P.

I rarely use OEM drivers. I tend to want the newest and Acer, like other OEM's release their laptop, launch drivers and there's a chance nothing else other than a Bios update will be released after that.

In any case, it seems that once I run a driver update from Acer, I can then go to intel and download their drivers. It almost appears that the shipping drivers appear broken.

Also, I noticed that Bluetooth is disabled until I run the Wireless installation which prompts me to repair Bluetooth.
