Hi,

I bought a G3 Predator in May of this year and ran the recovery program, it worked fine but asked me to insert a 16 gb usb flash card....strange as the computer came with 6 blank DVD's. I didnt have a spare USB stick until now.

Started the program and got Acer reovery management has stopped owrking, I have tried it in safe mode, in all types of compatabilty and as Admin. I have even tried reinstalling it. The acer power button no longer works either, but i aint to bothered about that

the only thing i get is an entry in the events log as detailed below

Have you reviewed the Recovery article?
    Reloading your Acer Computer

With the issues that you are seeing, I would attempt to use the built-in recovery process first, to remove any software issues.

Thanks for the prompt reply, but all i was looking at doing was creating a recovery solution for my computer, if i run the recovery from the boot selection screen i will wipe all my data and im not willing to do this. Am i mistasken in thinking that the recovery software is a copy of the windows 8 software with the acer software added. And if my hard drive failed i would actually have no operating system unless i got a copy onto usb?
