Resolution problems with V5 11.6 Aspire

So just a heads up for any questioning a caution triangle when they go to their screen resolution settings. Apparently Acer thought because of the small screen size and the fact that its a touch screen that they would raise the screen zoom to 125% by default. For some who understand DPI settings. This means to raise the DPI from a standard 96 to 120. I guess Acer felt the touch screen part of inputing would work better. The issue apparently is that Windows gives you this warning and incorrectly tells you that your resolution is below 1280 X 960 when in fact it is not. I do not believe this 125% DPI setting affects anything negatively but if you choose you can go into the classic desktop right click and select resolution and go to make text bigger and select 100% instead of 125%. Sign out of your user account, or reboot. You will notice that when you open classic IE the zoom has also reduced down to 80%. Not sure if this is another glitch? But simple enough to reset by hitting CTRL plus 0 which restes back to 100%. Like I said, if you like the bigger icons and text I see no problem keeping it at 125% and ignoring the caution. I personally think the screen looks even sharper using 100% and you can always increase zoom in a browser for larger fonts.
