Windows Starter 2010

I have a Acer Aspire computer with the pre-installed Windows 2010 starter software.

Just recently my computer is telling me that the WIndows Starter registration number

is no longer valid and that I will have to buy the Windows systems(Word/Excell).

I was thinking that the starter program would be valid on my computer for

as long as I use the computer.

Is this right?..or not right?

    hi...

Office Starter consists of Word Starter and Excel Starter only, reduced functionality versions of Microsoft Word and Excel with advertising. It does not contain Microsoft PowerPoint, OneNote, or Outlook.
It is only available as preloaded software on select new PCs.
It  is not trial software — you can continue to use it as long as you need. When you’re ready to move up to PowerPoint, Outlook and the many rich functionalities in a full Office version.

    Hi carlsche!

Try to see if a repair-install will cure the problem. Go to the Programs & Features part of Control Panel, find Microsoft Office 2010 & click "Change". This will allow a repair to go ahead, and usually solves most problems.

If you find you still have a problem, uninstall Office 2010 starter, and re-install  it here.
