Wireless Drivers Not working on Aspire 5100 with Vista

I just installed a new harddrive to my Acer 5100.  Had to order a new installation disc of Vista Home Basic, which, is what it came with from the retailer.  In the mean time waiting for the Vista installation disc, so I could use it, I installed a copy of XP and the wireless, broadband, and lan (all) drivers from the Acer site.  It worked fine, beautiful.  Today I upgraded back to Vista Home Basic and suddenly... no internet. I can get local access, but not internet.  I haven't a clue of how to manipulate the issue other than to depend on the Acer site driver downloads to work.... and they aren't.

    Commenting on my own post,

I tried everything I knew to do to get the correct drivers and install them, from the Acer site for my model of Acer 5100 W/Vista, and then also per a recommendation on another community entry here, I went to  www.pcidatabase.com.  And, I note, it's the same driver there as is available on the Acer site for this model w/ Vista for the wireless.  I also noted through this experience, the broadcom file, nor the bluetooth Vista drivers would load to the laptop either.  The Artheros and Lan_Realtek Vista drivers loaded, but hence, still no internet.

In contrast, I cleaned the hard drive, reinstalled XP Pro and loaded all the Acer.com provided drivers.  The internet works beautiful.....

This laptop came loaded with Vista from retail purchase when I bought it brand new.  And, would like to have that OS.  Any ideas anyone?  Would it work to buy a new internal wireless card to have those drivers to work with the appropriate system/hardware/OS?

No it didn't solve the problem.  The goal is to reload Vista as the OS which is what was on it when I purchased it.

The drivers available on the Acer site for the Vista OS with my Aspire 5100 don't seem to work.  The broadcom driver won't even load into the PC... I even attempted out of desperation to use the XP driver (because nothing else was working) thinking they may be backward compatable.  No success with any of it to get the Wireless working for internet with Vista.
