pagefile.sys is used to swap when you exceed the DRAM but is much slower and the SDcard is slower still. The 2GB memory is a limitation of the Intel Clover Trail ChipSet.

That said with IE, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Task Manager, and Street Atlas open I am showing 924 MB in use on the W3. I cut the pagefile back to 500 MB to save C: drive space and have never used even that.

Where does a novice find pagefile.sys? How do I safely change it? Added a 16gb micro sd since sys shows 22+ gb out of 24 already used. Thanks.

That is odd, a 32 GB SSD will normally show 28-29GB of disk C available. I'd use DISMGMT.MSC to see which partitions are using what.

Can google "shrink pagefil.sys" and "remove hiberfil.sys" to free up space. Also if you have a C:\OEM directory (W3) you can back it up elsewhere. Do not just delete because it contains the setup files for Office 2013 (if included).

correction: you are right, shows 24 out o 28 used. If we are not using Ofice 2013 which ile can we delete that has the set-up files? will try pagefile change later - thanks.

You can but I would back up on a CD or DVD firs just in case.

As mentioned I put all data on a SD drive. If you have seen the size have you gone though the entire disk cleanup/include system files process also ?

Will say if I find a 7-8" tablet with a 3740 (not D), 4GB ram and a 64 or 120 GB SSD, that will be my next one.
