Aspire all in one 5600U internet time out or display issues

I am looking for help regarding internet pages timing out or not displaying correctly.

 

I have an Aspire 5600U running Windows 8 and I am using Chrome as my browser.

 

Generally all is working fine except for a couple of sites which either time out when displaying photos (it is a real estate website) or just show a small icon (green and looks a bit like a page) on the espn soccer website(soccernet.com). This is invariably if there is a video to play - internet explorer is displaying the soccer website without any issues but also has issues loading the real estatw website photos on occasion

 

any help would be appreciated

Make sure your java and flash are up to date.

From the sounds of it, if only an issue with the sites you mentioned, It may be their sites, not your PC.


You can try visiting the page, tapping your alt button to open your menu bar, then selecting 'tools' and 'compatability mode' in the drop down.

A green page with a rip down the middle is the Icon for this mode.
