wireless connection on 4665

I’ve had my Acer Aspire E1-531-4665  for two months (Windows 7) and trying to learn the ins and outs of a laptop.  I was doodling with the 'function keys' and the next time I turned on the laptop it said to turn on my wireless connection key, that I was not connected to a network.   My wireless is on and working fine, so I think I may have hit a combination of keys to cause my problem?   Also is there a web site to learn other functions like cut & paste, high light, etc. This is my first laptop and I am stumbling through. Thanks for any help.

Be careful when "doodling with the function keys"!  Joking aside, that's a little strange with the wireless.  You might try connecting using an ethernet cable as an alternative to using wireless, if that's available to you, or as I suggested to someone else, going somewhere where there is public WiFi access, in case the modem or service if causing the problem.  And if necessary, reinstalling the driver for the wireless network or ethernet adaptor, whichever one you are using.

As for your other question, that's a good one.  Perhaps a good guide to, for example, Microsoft Word could be a place to start, and many of these functions apply to Microsoft Windows too.  Word and the other MS Office programs do have build-in help and tutorials but I usually find them painfully slow to work through, and often head to YouTube for quicker instruction.

After connecting at hot spots, searching on my PC for solutions, the light bulb came on for no reason at all.  Well, I've actually done this with my watch. I just took the dang battery out, reinserted it, and have no connection problems at all.  So thanks to Clive and Dave for responding.  And computers are suppose to make our lives easier ??   LOL
