Blu Ray not working on Aspire V3-551-8469

Hello,

 

I just received an Aspire V3-551-8469 with Windows 8.  I understood when I ordered it online that it came with a Blu Ray player.

 

I cannot get Blu Rays to work in it.  After I read some postings on this site that indicated that I would need to download drivers to get the Blu Ray to work, I downloaded one from Aiseesoft and then one from Arcsoft.  Neither of them work.  It seems that the Blu Ray disc is not recognized.  I know that the disc is good.

 

I am a little suspicious because I expected to see a Blu Ray sticker on the laptop, and there is not one on it.  Does my model indeed have a Blu Ray player?  On the sticker that came with it, it says that it has a DVD-Super Multi DL drive.  It says nothing about Blu Ray.

I would suggest downloading BDAdvisor from CyberLink and see what it says. Check the advanced tab also.
