I just received my Aspire ME600 back from repair. And thet said they replace the motherbord along with other things.  Not that I got it back I pulled the protective flim from its cover and push the button to openit but it will not open.  Is there another way to open it when the button does not work?  I really do not want to send it back to the acer repair  as it will be the forth time sending it back to them.  Can any one tell me how to open it.

    Hi!
    there are two possible reasons.
    1) the Disk drive isn't connected to a power supply.
    2) the drive is stuck.

first power on your pc, then check if the drive appears on "my pc", your disk drive should appear with your C: drive.
If not, it could be not connected to power (or also it could be hidden), but normaly it should appear.

you could open the pc and check if the Drive is properly connected.

If the drive appears on "My pc" then you should try (with a paperclip) to lower slowly the front DVD cover and search for a littlr hole, then carrefully insert the paperclip until the DVD tray is pulled of.

    Smiley Happy good luck!
