Acer A100 Unresponsive Touch Screen HELP!

I got an Acer Iconia A100 Tablet for christmas in 2011, And sometime in summer this year the screen stopped working and I was left to just hang around at the lock screen. Pressing the buttons still caused the volume and shutdown menus to pop up just fine but I could actually touch them to use them. The home button still lights up and If I leave it on for a bit and stick it somewhere like under a blanket or something to warm up it EVENTUALLY lets me manipulate the shutdown and volume menus, but still wont let me move or touch anything else even things that are in the same space as the volume menu once it goes away. The screen also no longer rotates when I unlock it.

I sent this tablet in for repair from acer for this problem sometime in late July and got it back in mid to late August just in time for the new school year, after a phone call asking if it would be ok to do a factory reset of the device. It worked fairly well for a few months but sometime in November it went back to displaying the exact same issues I listed above. Im loathe to send it in for repairs for the same reason again especially because to my understanding nothing in my tablet was replaced the last time I sent it in, and I've already tried every form of hard or factory reset available to me. Im also pretty sure that my warranty ran out about a week after my original repairs got done too.

Im sort of at a loss for what to do here because I dont even really know whats caused this problem twice in a row. I only really use my tablet for reading pdfs and ebooks plus some browsing and email functionality, and I know I haven't dropped it or left it in freezing weather or anything else similarly damaging.

Any help would be appreciated.

You You can try a hard reset of your tablet using the instructions available at http://acer--uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11986. If that does not resolve your issue, I recommend you contact Acer support. If you are unable to get through to Acer support, please send me a private message and I will have someone contact you.

Hello I gave a friend my Acer Tab a 100, he generally played music and used it for e-mail. He told me it was on the blink. I checked it out and the case seems to be ajar in otherwords it has been dropped. It was also tried on a non accessable wi-fi and I believe it has a virus, everything comes on and it suggests to unlock it on the unlock screen but there is no movement. Please advise where to sent it for repair. if there is any training on how to repair these devices pleas let me know I believe there is a big demand for this service.

    Sincerely,
