Predator AG3-605-UR24 crashes during game play

Just got my new computer and so far everything has been great except for windows 8. I can't seem to get any of my old games to work with them and one that does "Spore" seems to crash during game play whenever there is any sort of load on the graphics card. I have checked the driver and it's already at the latest release. I lower the resolution on the game to the lowest setting hoping it would take care of it and it did help but not cure. I'm lost. I'm not slouch with computers but no wiz either so keep it PG for me.

It would be helpful to have error messages or any identifying information regarding the crashes.

    When do they occur specifically?

If there are error messages, please copy them verbatim.

It's really hit and miss with the error messages. Sometimes the system will just restart like hitting the power button or other times it will return me to windows with a vague error message stating "Spore has stopped working" "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." It works fine until I put a load on the graphics card. Seems like maybe a power supply issue? Just guessing. Please help my new computer is almost useless right now.

It sounds like you're having issues getting Windows 8 to work properly with games that were designed quite a few years ago.

Spore, as an example, was published in 2008 for Windows XP and Vista.

Have you checked on the Spore website for any assistance with getting the program operating properly under Windows 8?
