I have an Acer Aspire Vista Home Premium. A few days ago the computer kept shutting down after about 5 min. I opened it and cleaned it out and took the fans out and cleaned them thinking it might be overheating due to all the dust in there and there was a lot. Rehooked up the computer, turned it on and it tried to boot up. The fans were working fine but it finally told me it wasn't able to and that I needed to put in the boot disc. It did not shut down though, even after about 15 min. so I thought was encouragaing. I felt it might have been just dirty. Well of course I do not have a boot up disc so am wondering what do I do now?? How can I get it to boot up?? Thanks for your help.

PROBLEM SOLVED. Thanks to all who checked my post. Turns out my hard drive got unplugged while cleaning out the case. Smiley Happy Thank goodness for an easy fix. Phew!  So far so good and all it cost was half a days cleaning and searching. I'll take that. Smiley Happy  Thanks again and now go clean YOUR computer. LOL
