Unable to install driver package

I have a Iconia W3-810 running Windows 8.1 Preview.  I need to install the driver package I have downloaded to get a new display driver.  I have done this before to fix a problem, but the driver was "updated" by Windows Update causing the problem to reappear.  When I try to run Setup.exe for the driver package I get a message box with the title: "Intel Atom Processor z2760 Drivers" and the message: "There is a pending reboot for this product".  I've looked in the registry for pending file renames, but there's nothing there.  Any idea how to proceed?

First I would turn off automatic updates.

Second I would reboot and see if it works then. Do not know if you have a-v running but sometimes I have to turn off McAfee "Access Protection" before an update will load properly.

Hi Padgett, I am just a part time end user. Is there a reason for me to install the pre release 8.1 this late in the cycle?
