About Battery for Aspire M5

I just purchased an new Aspire M5. Since I live overseas in a country with a lot of power outages, I wanted to buy an extra battery. Now I learn it is not possible for the user to replace the battery. Acer wrote: "Please be informed that the battery in the computer is built-in. It cannot be removed".  Which means what?  It cannot be removed by me so I have to take my PC to a technician to replace the battery and thus am unable to use a back-up battery when there is no power? This is the first time I ever heard of such a thing.... and great disappointment. Unfortunate the customer is not told of this before purchasing. Does anyone have more information about this and how the user can replace the battery himself? Thanks.

If you know how to use a screwdriver you absolutely can replace the battery. It's just that it doens't pop out like a traditional model. If you want a backup battery why not just pick up a battery backup that you can plug your computer into. It's not ideal but it's easier than switching your battery when you run out of power considering the fact that it's built in.
