I do not have the changelog for the BIOS unfortunately. They are commonly not released outside our HQ. I'm sorry, that's as far as I can get with that request.

Sad to hear this altough I already expected it because I only found one single changelog for Acer BIOS updates... I'm guessing it's company policy or whatever, which is a shame, because I love changelogs and am probably not the only one.

For the Liveupdater.. I think I might have given you the wrong link. The Live Updater you use is indeed the latest one and the best version. Apologies. If you have installed the latest version and it can still not find any drivers, I wonder if there are updates at all.

I suggest you check some of the drivers you currently have (for example lets say your wifi driver) and check on our downloadpage if the driver offered there is the same one. You can see the version of your current driver via 'Device Manager' wich you can access by pressing the Windowskey + X simultaneously in the Live Tiles startscreen.

ELAN Pointing Device: Up to date.

Intel SATA AHCI Driver: Up to date.

Bluetooth Qualcomm: Newer version (v8.0.1.240) installed through Windows Update than available through http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

Intel Graphics Driver: Newer update found through http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect than available through http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

Broadcom LAN Driver: Update found through Windows update

Conclusion: The Live Updater probably is as up to date as http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers . Windows Update and http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect are more up to date so I'll keep using these two methods, but I'll keep the Live updater installed in hopes of it notifying me of BIOS updates, which are not available through Windows Update AFAIK.

Thanks again for all the info and I hope you may be able to persuade someone to (persistently) post changelogs for the BIOS updates.

It's true you may find newer drivers on the websites of each components manufacturer. But you are correct, the Live Updater tool should be in sync with the Acer download website.

The drivers that we put on our website are generally tested and approved by our guys. The drivers on the seperate manufacturers' sites may be newer, but are not approved by us. Does not really mean they are bad, we just haven't certified them ourselves. You are always free to install them if you want, but I always advise people: If your device works fine, don't update outside the updater. It may give more trouble then joy.

I would love to give you some patchnotes from the latest BIOS, but don't count on getting them. It's about as hard for me to get them, as it is for you Smiley Sad

Have a nice day anyway, and thanks for the feedback. Enjoy the gaming!

Oh no I don't really need the changelogs anymore, but if they would have been available before then I may have been able to find the solution to my initial problem by just looking through the changelogs.

Have a nice day and thank you Smiley Happy

    Hello guys,

I read all posts here and now I'm wondering why fe. W + S + A works fine, while W + S + D don't work at all. I've got A8G1TMAKK with 8.1 and all latest updates (bios, drivers etc).
