Acer Aspire 5750-6872 - I got the message 'Not connected - connections are available'

Hi,

Yesterday my wife used the hot key 'Fn + F6' to black out the display screen display.  Later she pressed any key to resume the screen display.  She told me that she saw some messages displayed on a black background display and not knowing what she actually did, she managed to get back the system.

However, the message 'Not connected - connections are available' is displayed on the internet access icon at the bottom right of the screen.  I tried to reconnect to my wireless router, but it does not.  My other laptops are connected to the wireless network without problem.  I suspected that she did something that caused the issue.  There is a hotkey 'Fn + F3' that enables/disables the computer's communication devices.  I have checked and it is still 'enable'.

I would be thankful if anyone could help me on this.  Thanks

Felix

    Hi,

Go to Windows Key + R, type recovery on the search bar, select erecovery management app, select restore your PC and done.  Back to a previous configuracion without the problem.  See if the WiFi button is blue or gray, blue shold be good to go, gray the BIOS is not recognizing the Wireless card, on the second just go to the BIOS via F2 and press F9 to reload factory vers.  F10 will save and exit.  Restart the unit and try again.

    Good Luck!
