Aspire M9385 and no signal to monitor message.

I bought a new Aspire M9385 desktop for our local scout group. I took it home and loaded some programs on it using my own monitor and everything was fine.

I then took it down to the scout hall and plugged it into their monitor. It loaded up and worked fine and then kept dropping out and saying "NO Signal"

So I took my monitor down, plugged it in and away it went. It worked fine on this for about 2 days then the monitor just dropped out and this time it said "Power saving Mode". We swapped cables over in case that was the problem but nothing worked.

Another Computer savvy leader connected it to his monitor and it worked fine. Had to be a monitor problem so we purchased a new one and a new cable.  Guess what? Yes, that too says no signal.

Not sure where to go from here except back to the store as it is still under warranty. Any advice would be appreciated.

Addition to the above. It is running windows 8 which I have the latest udates for. I have also updated the video card driver. I was able to do this by plugging in a very old monitor - don't know what you call them but the big old box type.

The computer works fine on that.

...not to painfully point out the obvious, but this is a support forum for Acer monitors - yes, you're having a 'monitor issue', but unless all of these are Acer monitors, I'm not sure why you're posting here (especially w/o the model #'s, etc.) - I'd definitely contact the manufacturer of the computer. And the model # listed does not compute...can't find what specifically you're referring to - have a link?

Having said that, it seems you've ruled out software, as well as hardware concerning the monitor(s). You tried different cables, but have you tried different types? - maybe try DVI (or HDMI if available), as apposed to VGA. Otherwise, does the desktop have a graphics card? - if the monitor hookup is on the motherboard (near the other outputs - sound, usb, etc.) then you don't and you should just contact that manufacturer. If you do have a graphics card, and if you're computer savvy enough, and if it won't void your warranty, I'd open up the case and carefully(!) re-seat (take out and put back) the power connectors in the graphics card (if there are any), and re-seat even more carefully(!!!) the graphics card in the PCI slot.
