Hello, one of the few forum posts that I've made. But I'm wondering how I can increase this notebook's dedicated vram from the system default 512mb to the limit of 2gb that AMD puts on their APU lines.

Fish, I'm not sure that I understand your question., "Dedicated RAM" is the amount of VRAM that is built into an installed video card. It is faster than system RAM, plus your video card can access it more quickly. It cannot be increased.

Sometimes, the phrase refers to an integrated video card that is soldered into place on the motherboard and has no RAM of its own. A certain amount of the system RAM is "dedicated" to this video card, and the video card can access more if it is available.

Researching your rig, it looks like you've got a powerful monster that is highly-rated. But for the price you paid, and the hardware you received (including a touchscreen), a trade-off had to be made. Your video card is middle-of-the-road and has difficulty with high-end games. I don't recommend using a laptop for high-end games, but if you insist, you will have to buy a better video card.

I know but this "dedicated RAM" for the integrated video card is part of an APU. I know for a fact that AMD's APU line have shared memory with the system RAM. So at least with the desktop counterpart You can allocate more system RAM to the GPU portion of the APU. I was just wondering where is the BIOS I can find the GPU allocation size.
