Installing windows 7 on Aspire v3-571 gives bsod after restart during setup

Hello,

I'm trying to do a clean install of windows 7 on a Acer Aspire V3-571. I first switched to legacy mode in the bios and disabled secure boot. Everything works fine, until the installation of windows 7 restarts the computer and starts again to finalise the installation. After 2 minutes or so, my laptop gives a blue screen and restarts. On the next starts it hangs at starting services, saying 'windows installation failed, try do install again'.

I tried everything, new format etc. I'm just stuck and can't get anywhere.
Can someone please give me the final tip.

Thanks,

Timo

Tsprang, there is more than one version of the Aspire v3-571, but they all seem to have Windows 7 pre-installed. Are you trying to do a clean install from a store-bought DVD or from the built-in recovery disk? Why do you want to do a clean install? If you feel that your machine is too slow, the large screen requires a lot of RAM, and that slows it down. Doing a clean install will not remove that problem.

If you are using a DVD, you lost all your Acer drivers when you installed the OS. Your best move is to try to use the built-in recovery disk to restore the original OS.
