Hello,

Today, I tried to update my M5-581TG BIOS UEFI to 2.11, but i get constantly an error with InsydeFlash : Flash Write Error in SMI (SMI Return Code : 0x25) and when I launch any others app, the OS freeze and i'm forced to reset AC.

Any help for it?

What BIOS is presently on the system?

Why are you attempting to update the BIOS?

    At now, 1.03 BIOS.

I'm attempting to update BIOS to update the support with Ubuntu.

It is not possible to cross-flash v1 BIOS and v2 UEFI.

A v2.xx BIOS has nothing to do with Ubuntu, which is not a supported operating system.

There should be no reason that you cannot install Ubuntu under a v1.xx BIOS.

The first has 1.03 and the others 1.12, and i want to ask, why we couldn't anymore chose under Integrated Graphics and Dual (nVidia Optimus GT 640M + Intel HD Graphics Chipset) in these ?

Design decisions for what is included or not in BIOS is not something that I am able to address.

But, is there any solution to downgrade BIOS to an older version?

I'm sorry, I'm not seeing where that question was asked earlier.

There should be no reason to "downgrade" a BIOS to a previous version, as later BIOS contain the fixes from previous BIOS.

To be finnaly clear, I need to downgrade to install *something* on my laptop.
This something can't work when Nvidia Optimus is enabled, I need to downgrade to 1.07 to have access to the option who allow me to swith under "Integreated Graphics" and "Dual Cards".

    Sincerly,
