Old Eee PC 1005 PEB issue

My daughter wants me to completely clean out/reformat her old Acer netbook, an Eee pc 1005PEB. However we no longer have any recovery data. The netbook doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. It does have an SD slot and USB ports. And the Windows 7 sticker validation is still readable. If I reformat the hard drive, is there any way to reload Windows without the CDs? So far I can't find a way to do this internally and keep the OS. Recovery only goes back a year or so, and she wants all her old data removed. Ideas?

Thanks

The Eee PC 1005PEB is an Asus product, not Acer.

Pamela, I have to admit that Tommy's solution is brilliant. However, if you try to reformat a laptop you're really asking for trouble. The drivers are so specific that they often can't work on a new operating system. Plus, by reformatting, you erase the drivers, and finding and downloading drivers on a rig that old could be impossible.

I'm not familiar with Asus products, but Acer laptops have a method of restoring the factory settings. If you can't do that, set a System Restore point and carefully delete unwanted programs. Then install the free Win Patrol program that will tell you what programs are starting up automatically. Disable, but do not Delete, unwanted programs. Later, if everything works fine, you can go back and Delete them. However, do not interfere with any programs from Microsoft or Asus.

so sorry, I misread the label. You are correct that it is an ASUS. Thank you for the links.
