I have never been able to download Service Pack 1 on my Windows 7 Aspire 5253-BZ481.

I've tried many times in the last two years to get Service Pack 1, but it constantly fails even using the special tool.  Does this have anything to do with the Ethernet Controller which my computer says I do not have a driver?

I am not under any warranty.  I've tried the "Fix-It", but that doesn't help.  I get Error Code 80070002, but Microsoft does not give any number like that to click on for help.

What can I do to fix this?

I normally get that error when the date, time and location on the computer are incorrect.  Please change them to reflect the current date, time and country the computer is in.

There is a windows readyness tool you can run also, this will make sure your computer is ready to accept new windows updates.  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20858

Give that a go and best of luck ! Smiley Happy
