Fried HD on Aspire 5733Z, new drive installed - cannot get recovery disks to work

Hi all

Just replaced a fried HD on my ASPIRE 5733Z laptop, new drive in old drive out.  I had made a set of recovery disks previous to the crash but they do not seem to work, when all is said and done it boots to the sign in screen but ADMINISTRATOR is locked and I cannot enter windows 7.  What am I doing wrong?  The old disk had a 100 meg partition, but I did not partition this disk, does that matter, is that the problem?

HELP please!!

    It boots to the Windows log in screen?

    From the hard drive or from the optical media?

     

    Did you make the Recovery media set or an incremental backup?

    The recovery set would have indicated the name for each disc.  Attempt to boot from the System Disc.

     

    You can check to see if recovery media is available from the US Acer Store by clicking on eRecovery and entering your serial number or SNID.
