Relplacement Hard Drive

I have an Acer 5532 lap top about 3 years old. I need to replace the WD 160 gb hard drive but would like to replace with a 500 gb or 1 gb drive. I can not seem to get the right info. Is this doable with a larger wd hard drive? Is there a max size drive that I can use?

By the way please excuse any errors as this is my first time on the forum.

Thank you for info.

    Hello,

You're fine with a larger drive, yes there is a limit on the size you can install but you won't find it in your local bestbuy. Grab a SATA 2.5" with as much storage as you like and don't fret about the specs beyond that considering the age of your system.

Thank You for the reply. I did try a 500 gb and it worked ok.

    Regards
