Touch with dual T232HL monitors controls same monitor

I have two T232HL monitors running on Windows 8 pro.  When I touch the second monitor, the action is reflected to the same spot on the first monitor, with nothing happening on the second monitor.

In the control panel under Tablet PC Settings, the first monitor says it has full Windows touch support.  The second monitor says no pen or touch input is available for this display.

When I run the setup to configure the monitor it says, "Touch this screen to identify it as the touchscreen"

After pressing the screen it says, "Press enter to proceed to the next step to complete your configuration"

At which point the setup closes and it goes back to the control panel.

Anybody else experienced this problem?

Thanks

It sounds like the second monitor is not being properly detected.  I would suggest trying to use the second monitor by itself with the other monitor disconnected to see if touch works.

If it does not, I would recommend attempting to troubleshooting the USB connection for touch.

Thanks, but I already tried that.  The second monitor works fine by itself, and I can't find any USB issues.  The touch works... except it's being projected on the wrong monitor, so I doubt it's some kind of connection problem.  I had them daisy chained together by USB and undid that, and still no change.

As the touch portion is on the USB connection, I would not "daisy chain" the USB ports.

Have you attempted to connect the USB cables independantly to two different USB ports, one for each monitor?

I went ahead and did a clean install with the Windows 8.1 update and that still didn't fix the problem.

I'm having the same issue, were you able to get it to work?

Nope.  I've searched high and low and couldn't find a solution.  I've basically come to accept the fact I will never have more than 1 touch enabled monitor using Acer products.

Thanks for the response. I almost gave up, but I found a third-party driver that is supposed to work. I will try it tomorrow and post the results here.

    Any luck?

I'm having the same problem. What driver are you using?

    Thanks

I'm havinbg this problem, too. Acer customer service is no help blaming it on my new HP computer. I'm running Win 8.1 Pro....frustrating. Does anyone have a workaround?

I'm using the driver from http://touch-base.com/. Be sure to TEST IT FIRST BEFORE YOU BUY!  You can download an evaluation version that is limited to 100 clicks, then you have to recalibrate then another 100 clicks, and so on.  It does not work on all combinations of PC > Video Card > Monitors.

    WOW!!!  That's way too expensive.

A better solution would be if Acer actually acknowledge that this is a problem and fixed it.

I have a dell computer and two dell touchscreen mounitor with USB as touch input.

At first, my touch for two monitor was swapped, left controls right, right controls left. What I did to fix it was simply swapping the two USB input.

Later, I did some work on repositioning my monitor etc. Then I notice that I touch on either of the screen will control the left one.

I restarted computer, uninstalled and reinstalled USB device in Windows 7 device manager, the touch remain broken.

At last, I get in Screen Resolution setting in windows 7 with both monitor and their USB connected. I was constantly disabling and enabling the secondary monitor and swapping the main display. Just randomly poking around. Suddenly, the touch is fixed.

I seems to me the touch needs something to re-calibrate them.
