US UK warranty and power cords?

I would like to purchase a new Acer laptop through Amazon UK and have it shipped to my son in London (I'm in the US). He needs it right away because his was stolen.  But there's a reasonably good chance he'll be back in the US for six months or more come November.  If he needs warranty service in the US, is it covered?

Also, is it possible to replace the power cord with a US version or will he need plug adapters?  What about the UK keyboard?  He'd prefer a US keyboard, although the differences are small enough that it's not a deal breaker.

Thanks

You will need to check out the warranty terms on Acer.com.  I understand that a "traveler's" warranty is available. Don't know about a "mover's" warranty.  Anyway, best to check with Acer for international warranties.

Regarding power requirements -  the computer will require the same voltage for charging and running, regardless of where it is. If you buy for the UK,  you will probably get a UK 220V charger which will supply the computers charging requirements.  Similarly, I would imagine that a replacement US 120V charger with its plug configuration would be required for charging in the US. Should be available from Acer Store in the US.
