touchscreen stopped working

My Aspire 5600U touch screen stopped working.....What do I need to do to make it work again ? Smiley Happy

    What occured prior to the "touch screen stopped working" ? 

    Did you update any software or hardware?

    My kids 5600u suddenly doesn't have touch capabilities either, 3 days of use, nothing installed new.  Just died. 

     

    What else for information can you use to help?

    i have the same issue, touch screen just stopped working, i bought it brand new w. windows 8 on it on oct 26  and i went into all of the settings but cant find anything possibly turned off

    Touch firmware update for Aspire 5600U after upgrading Windows 8 (can only run if current OS is Windows 8)
