thank you cory but i have tried every thing without any positive results!!!!!!!!! my PC is new and i'm really sure that it hasn't any problemes exept GAmes.I'm currently using latest nvidia driver 320.49 but also without results????? the probleme is when i begin playing for example NFS most wanted the game start at good FPS about 32-30FPS but after 5min the frequency drop down so the FPS drop down also.Mybe a probleme of temperature throttling in bios configuration and you know that we can't change it or do any thing else the temperature when i play this game is about 94 for GPU and 85CPU.If it's possible you can test some of this games in this model and with this version of bios because many said that the temperature throttling and the fan controller are not set to optimal configuration??????? for me i don't know if it's true or false but you can look for it if possible.thkx and i'm waiting your feedback.............

I have absolutely the same problem on my 571G, also after upgrading to 2.15.

What I have found out is, that the fan runs very slowly and only kicks in when exactly on the throttle temps, than it slows down again gradually after a few seconds.

So the problem is, that the fan is running too slow and the notebook gets hotter and hotter and than, when the GPU reaches around 94°C, it drops the clocks, hense the FPS drop.

It's bloody frustrating, I want to strangle someone (well not really, but you get the idea)..

    Really *****!

hallo again!!!! well after some test and tricks i discovered the issue of this probleme:

-first when playing some high games the fan doesn't speed at all so the CPU & GPU reach hight temp

-when after 2min of gaming the GPU reach 94 °c and at this time the throttle begin and the fan dosn't speed!!!!!!!!

so is there any solution!!!! because this is not cool at all and i am waiting until now for a solution from the acer..........

I've tried to reflash the bios with the same version I already had (2.15) and voila! the notebook works ok again.

The fan still doesn't speed up too much, but the temperatures are much much lower.

Seems like some wrong combination of settings in bios were causing the problem, as this is the only thing I can think off that would change with a reflash to a same version..

    Give it a shot!
