So yesterday my brothers laptop wouldn't start, so after taking the hard drive out of the laptop and connecting it to another PC using a USB, it says that the hard drive needs formatting to be able to be accessed. So I connected it to my laptop, same issue.

Web going into drive management it says the format is RAW, I have tried opening the drive in Ubuntu but it won't show up. I also ran a file recovery program overnight, but it appears to have only recovered .exe and photos files mostly. My brother has a lot of important work saved on this hard drive, I think some of it is .sai files. Any suggestions as to what to do without losing all the data? Thanks.
