No, the W510 only has support for 32GB SDHC cards.

Odd, my W510 seems happy with the SanDisk Ultra SDXC 64GB microSD even when full after checking the capacity. Is there a long term issue ?

True FAT32 can only handle 32GB but exFAT and NTFS seem to work fine.

Just submitted a question to SanDisk about the power requirements for a 32GB vs a 64GB. I suspect the socket driver will limit read performance to about 20 MB/s sequential.

ps also boots from and works fine with my 120GB USB SSD. I do use a powereed hub.

I can only say what is "supported".

If other hardware works for you, then great! but I'm not going to be able to officially support it.

Understand and that is my advantage. Also have looked over the Clover Trail design & limitations vs I3/I5. Have to undestand that fan/vents vs fanless/ventless makes a big difference in the thermal budget (but necessary when you talk 7-10 hour battery life) - one reason the current crop do not have an onboard GPS even though needed to be taken seriously - RSN.

My W3 (haven't tried with W510) will even create a repair disk with the 64, just reformats Fat32 so is limited to 32GB (and had to use DISKPART to restore after testing).

The W510 (and W3) microSD sockets seem to use the USB 2.0 drivers so limit access to about 24MB/s (sequential read) as opposed to 75ish for the internal SSD. This seems to be the same for a Cl 10 as the U1 (power again).

So at present my take is that the CT devices have no problem with the capacity of an SDXC but the design may limit the speed. Something I expect to change with BT since the Z2760 needs throttling to stay under 3W while the Z3770 should be <3W at full chat (have heard 2.4GHz), 4GB ram, and with USB 3.0. We shall see.

Just got a respond from SanDisk that there is no difference in the power requirements for a 32GB HC and a 64GB XC.

The issue seems to be that some older devices (both my W3 and W510 have no problem) do not recognise the exFAT file structure.

Can say that 7 video DVDs will take up most of a 64GB microSD.
