Acer Predator G5900 - Crashing/Freezing Issue

Hello there,

Recently I have been experiencing difficulty with my standard Predator G5900 Desktop Computer.

At what seems like random points during the use of the computer it freezes/crashes without warning.

Recently these crashes/freezes have been happening more and more. As I stated, without warning, no matter what I am doing, the computer appears to just freeze. Unable to do anything including mouse movement and access to the Task Manager.

I thought at first it might be an issue with my screen, maybe, so I tried unplugging/reconnecting the screen. The issue continued. So, I tried connecting another screen incase the previous one was faulty - again, the issue continued. So, I have ruled out screens as the issue here.

I have run various malware, spyware, virus checks, you name it, I've ran it. Nothing has returned.

There are no error messages or anything to accompany these crashes/freezes.

I am currently running the preinstalled OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit.

I can provide the details of specifications if needed, however, I haven't changed anything from the standard shop bought model so specifications are the same as new.

Hope you can help. Many Thanks.

I would suggest booting into Safe Mode and seeing if you can replicate the issue, by just letting it sit.

Other than that, it may be beneficial to reload the operating system (after backing up any personal files) to eliminate the possibility that it is a software issue.

If that fails to correct the issue, then you would be looking at a possible hardware problem and would need to contact your local Acer service center.
