Getting internet working after a clean install

Would appreciate some advice on driver installation. I posted the following question on the support link:

I clean installed Windows 7 (64 bit) on my Acer 5741 using a retail disk. All looks OK except it won't connect to internet. System hardware panel shows three hardware devices with yellow exclamation marks and says drivers are absent (code 28) for all of them. The three are Network Controller, Ethernet Controller and PCI Simple Communications Controller. Acer support lists three drivers with category LAN for the 5741 (two of them wireless). Are these the three I need to install to fix my driver problems? [I am using a wired network with Linksys WAG325N gateway and Devolo DLAN 200 homeplugs].

An answer has come back, but it just told me to 'reinstall the appropriate drivers'. But my question was asking confirmation that the drivers I suspected should be installed were the right ones. Can anyone confirm these are the correct three?

Thanks.

    Hello,

Yes do install the correct drivers.  Consult the website http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers ans search by serial number of model number. Just follow the instructions on the screen.

    Good day.

Thanks ThV5k. I've done it now and the laptop is running like greased lightning now it's been shorn of several years' worth of junk. I did visit that download page but it wasn't obvious which drivers to download, particularly which would fix the PCI controller. In the end I downloaded the Broadcom LAN and Wireless LAN drivers and clicked Update Drivers on the control panel to let Windows search for drivers for the PCI controller...which it successfully did.
