1) Notified of Update availiable

2) Downloaded Update

3) Attempted to Install Update  (4X Attempts....All "Failed")

4) Error message "Update Failed" ... with No (0) Clues as to exactly what the problem/failure/fix is!?

5) Apparently Update Downloads are then somehow Deleted ... forced to re-Download for each attempt

6) Anyone have any clues/helpful suggestions/work-arounds??

Have you got enough room for the update to download, unpack and install?

I too am having the exact same problem. I have 7gb of free space so I don't think that is the problem.

Same thing here.  After many attempts (not sure what I did) I got the following information:

    CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4
    Finding update package...
    Opening update package...
    Verifying update package...
    E:Failed to verify whole-file signature
    E:signature verification failed
    Installation aborted.

This may explain why my device did not brick.  It never really started the update.  Any ideas?

    Had you rooted your A200?

In my case yes I have.

I have tried to unroot it and it still failed.

Rooted mine as well but never did anything after that.  This may be the prpblems.

While I have worked with computers since 1980 I an new to Android.  There is a lot of information on rooting a device but not much on how to remove the root.
